Experience history, art, and culture in “The Arches,” a 13th-century covered archway overlooking the Coast of the Gods in Tropea, Calabria, southern Italy. Contact us to schedule visits, workshops, filming, and events, or apply for the Artist Day Pass and Artist Residency.
“The Arches,” perched on the cliffside of historic Tropea in southern Calabria, are believed to have been built during the Angevin period in the thirteenth century. In this old but light-filled space, selected artists (from beginners to established) are given access to the Arches through the Artist Day Pass or the Artist Residency, to create art and absorb a unique blend of sun, stone, earth, and sea.

TROPEArte hosts private visits, filming, workshops, and events throughout the year. Contact us to find out more.

TROPEArte was founded in 2023 with a vision of uniting art, history, and culture in Tropea, rooted in a spirit of humanity built on the town’s foundation as a refuge for migrants, and on its history of art, openness, tolerance, and independence. TROPEArte is administered in collaboration with Studio Italiano Tropea
